Educator
Ben Kiel is a typeface designer, graphic designer, and educator. He runs Typefounding, a typeface design and production studio in Saint Louis, Missouri. Before starting Typefounding, he worked at House Industries where he worked as a typeface designer, director, and developer. At House, he worked as part of the team that developed the online Photo-Lettering service, shortlisted as a Design of the Year by the London Design Museum in 2012.

When Andy Cruz needed a set of numerals to use on set of wood blocks, Worthe Numerals were created to hearken back to the display didots of the 1970s. Released as a numeral set, various forms of the design appear on House Industries products.
